Vernon Lee Barger

Vernon Lee Barger, age 71 passed away on Monday, November 24, 2025 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Ky. He was born on Monday, October 18, 1954 in Oneida, Ky to Jasper and Geneva (Gibson) Barger. He was a truck driver and a member of Tyner Community Church.

He leaves to mourn his passing is his wife: Dessie (Byrd) Barger; three children: McKinley Barger and Crystal, Vernon Barger, Jr., Willie Jasper Barger; these grandchildren: Cody Barger, Tiffany Obiora and husband Davis, Whitney Barger, Mackenzie Barger, Kendra Barger, Kendall Barger, Austin Barger, Justin Barger and Hunter Barger. Also surviving are the following brother and sisters: Kenneth Barger and Maggie, Linda Bowling and Alfred, Glenna Barnett and Patty Morgan.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Jasper and Geneva Barger; his daughter-in-law: Shayla Barger, brothers: William Barger, Sam Barger and one sister: Geraldine Burns.

Funeral Services for Vernon Lee Barger will be conducted on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at 1:00 P. M. at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Mitchell Ball and Rev. Harold Byrd will be presiding. Burial will follow in the Lower Sadler Cemetery.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Saturday after 12:00 P. M. at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
