Sherri Smith

Sherri Smith, age 68 passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025 . She was born on Friday, October 5, 1956 in Washington, D. C. to Neville and Betty Sue (Cornett) Smith. She was a retired school teacher with the Clay County Board of Education and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in London. She had a great love and passion for animals.

She leaves to mourn her passing her son: Brett Smith and wife Katie; her father: Neville Smith; these grandchildren: Harris Paul Smith and Ruby Kate Smith; her nephews and one niece: Victor Carreras, Diego Carreras and Paloma Carreras. Also surviving are two sisters: Marcel Smith and Karen Carreras and husband George.

She is preceded in death by her mother: Betty Sue Smith and her furbaby: Cupcake.

Funeral Services for Sherri Smith will be conducted on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at 12 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Dennis Gibbs and Rev. Ken Bolin will be presiding. Burial will follow in the Manchester Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Tuesday from 6 PM until 9 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
