Rollin Roberts

Rollin Roberts, age 81, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at the VA Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born on Thursday, March 29, 1945 in Hima, Kentucky to Thomas and Mary (Styver) Roberts. He previously worked as a maintenance technician upon leaving the U.S. Army. Rollin loved watching college basketball. The Louisville Cardinals were his favorite. Rollin also loved animals and enjoyed watching the wildlife, (deer, cows, squirrels, raccoons, etc.) with a particular interest in bird watching. Blue Jays were his favorite bird. He was a private man that was hard to get to know, but what most people don’t know is how generous he was and how fiercely protective he was of the people that he loved.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his adopted son: Michael Rollin Robertson and Myra Mings of Liberty, Kentucky; his sister: Elsie Jackson of Lexington, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Thomas and Mary (Styver) Roberts and these brothers and sisters: Don Roberts, Orville Roberts, Ralph Roberts, Stanley Roberts and Violet Roberts.

There will be no services at this time.
