Neville Smith, age 95 passed away on Monday, September 7, 2026 at the St. Joseph Hospital in London, Kentucky. He was born on Friday, May 1, 1931 in Louisville, Kentucky to the union of Charles C. and Sallie Jewell (Purcell) Smith. Neville was an attorney, receiving his degree from the University of Kentucky Law School and attended the Eastern Kentucky University where he received his undergraduate degree. He was also a member of the Manchester Baptist Church, a Kentucky Colonel, a member of the Kentucky Bar Association and the Clay County Bar Association, he also received the honor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky recognizing him with “Neville Smith Day” by the state legislation. He was also a veteran of the United States Army where he completed the Intelligence School Training.
Neville leaves to mourn his passing his beloved daughters: Marcel Smith and Karen Carreras (George), his loving grandchildren: Brett Smith (Katie), Paloma Carreras, Diego Carreras and Victor Carreras and his precious great grandchildren: Harris Paul Smith and Ruby Kate Smith.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Charles C. and Sallie Jewell Smith, his loving wife: Betty Sue Smith and his beloved daughter: Sherri Smith.
Funeral Services for Neville Smith will be conducted on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 12 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Ken Bolin and Rev. Tess Lipps will be presiding. Burial will follow in the Manchester Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends and loved ones from 6 PM until 9 PM on Friday, September 11, 2026 at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
