Nettie Goins Smith

Nettie, also known as Teddy, age 72 of Manchester, Ky, passed away on July 14, 2025. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

She was the beloved wife of the late Leamon Smith. Nettie is survived by her son, Shade Smith and his wife Kristy of Manchester and their children, Nathan and Kaitlyn, and by her daughter, Brooke Hensley and her husband John of London, Ky and their son Weylin. The family also eagerly awaits the arrival of a granddaughter, Laurel, due in December.

She is also survived by a host of brothers and sisters, Evelyn Carr, Peggy Cody, Marie Wagers, Theo Goins, Lyle Goins, Kenny Goins, John Ed Goins, Ruth Ann Baker, Minnie Jackson, Leslie Webb, Alma Burkhart, and Vicki Smith.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Shade and Lettie (Minton) Goins; her brothers, Charlie Goins, Dan Goins, and Darrell Goins, and sister, Geraldine Goins.

Funeral Services for Nettie Goins Smith will be conducted on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at 1:00 P. M. at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Frank Peters will be presiding. Burial will follow in the Jarvis-Goins Cemetery in the Pigeon Roost Community.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Thursday after 12:00 P.M. at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
