Nathan Michael White, 39, of Manchester passed gently into the loving arms of Jesus his Lord and Savior on July 31, 2026, at AdventHealth Manchester. He was born on March 19,1987, in Lexington, Kentucky, to Michael J. and LaBerta Webb White. He had been employed with the Clay County Board of Education in the transportation department since 2017.

“Nate” is survived by his parents, Mike and LaBerta White; his daughter, Blair Caroline White; and his grandmothers, Faye Dobson Gregory and Helen Jarvis White. Other survivors include his aunts, Carmen Webb Roberts (Buddy) of East Bernstadt, Kentucky and Lydia White Miller (Patrick) of Richmond, Kentucky; and his uncle, Benjamin Neal White (Wendy) of Fruitland Park, Florida. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers,Benjamin Franklin White, Jr. and Lambert Young Webb, and a special great grandmother, Pearl Brock Dobson.

At the tender age of eight days, Nathan attended his first Clay County High School sporting event – the 1987 Boys State Basketball High School Championship where Bobby Keith’s Clay County Tigers captured the state high school crown.

Nate was a two-sport athlete at Clay County High School participating in both golf andbaseball. An exceptional golfer, he helped lead Clay County High School to their first ever back-to-back 13th Region Championships in 2004 and 2005. In 2006, as both a pitcher and shortstop, he was voted the 13th Region’s Most Valuable Player in baseball. Following his high school career, Nate continued playing golf and participating in tournaments,becoming widely known in Southeastern Kentucky. However, no course was more enjoyable for him than his own Big Hickory where he began playing at the age of five.

Nate was a loyal and true friend to all who knew him. His hobbies included collecting Case knives, hunting, and searching for arrowheads, but nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his beloved daughter, Blair.

Funeral services for Nathan White will be held on Monday, August 3, 2026, at 2:00 pm at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Anthony Lovett and Bro. Carl Ray Rice will officiate. Burial will follow at Manchester Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm on Monday, August 3, 2026, at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.

Pallbearers include Bill Marcum, Mark Jackson, Brad Mullins, J. Orie Dobson, Nicholas Dobson, Tanner Dobson, Jamie Gilbert and Keith Gilbert.
