Mrs. Ruth Burnette

Mrs. Ruth Burnette, age 73 of Manchester, departed this life on Monday, July 25, 2016 at the St. Joseph Hospital in London, Kentucky. She was born February 17, 1943 in Manchester, Kentucky to Cecil and Bertie (Hubbard) Swafford. She was a nurse's aide and was a member of the Mud Lick Baptist Church.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband: Orville Burnette and 2 sons: Alan Burnette and wife Abbie; James Burnett and wife Angie and 2 grandchildren: Kristen Messer and husband Jason and Hannah Burnett. Also surviving are these brothers and sisters: Pauline Allen; Rosaline Crawhorn and husband Ralph; Cecil Swafford, Jr. and wife Janice; Kenneth Swafford and wife Lori; Frankie Swafford and wife Carolyn.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Cecil and Bertie Swafford; her twin sister: Fern Hoskins; and her grandson: Christopher Burnette.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Ruth Burnette will be conducted on Thursday, July 28 at 2:00 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Harold Jones and Rev. Aaron Swafford will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Thompson Cemetery in the Billy's Branch Community. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 27 after 6:00 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
