Mrs. Ruby Parker, age 89, of Manchester, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2012 at her home. She was born March 19, 1923 to the union of Jim and Essie Nicholson Smith. She was a registered nurse.

She is survived by two children: Essie Lewis of Manchester; and Jerry Goins King of Waxahachie, Texas. Also surviving are these grandchildren: Stephen Lewis of London and Hollie Egeland and husband, Allan of Charlotte, NC. Two great grandchildren: Parker and Noah Egeland of Charlotte, NC.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Jim and Essie Smith and her husband, Hugh Parker.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Parker will be Tuesday, April 17, at 1:00 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. William Hugh Hudson will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery in the Burning Springs Community.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 17, after 11:30 AM until funeral time at 1PM at the Rominger Funeral Home.
