Mr. Forster Smith, age 90 of Buzzard Community in Manchester departed this life on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at his home. He was born on Sunday, August 21, 1927 in Bell County, Kentucky to William Smith and Alice Jackson Smith Jones. He was a retired coal miner.
He leaves to mourn his passing his children: Patricia Smith, Bruce Wayne Smith, Brenda Sue Collins, Billy Lee Smith, Linda Carol Smith, Patsy Ann Stewart, Harold Smith, and Helen Jean Mitchell. Also surviving are his step-children: Clarence Mills, Jr., Clerndon Sizemore, Wayne Sizemore, and Geraldine Downey, 19 Grandchildren, 26 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren as well as his sisters: Dorothy Jackson and Francis Gregory.
He is preceded in death by his father: William Smith, his mother: Alice Jackson Smith Jones, 2 wives: Esylene Grubb Smith and Glenalee Sizemore Smith, and 5 children: Hester Smith, Maxine Smith, Connie Smith, Betty Stewart, and Robert Smith.
Funeral Services for Mr. Forster Smith will be conducted on Sunday, October 29 at 1 PM at the Indian Grave Baptist Church in the Blue Hole Community. Wayne Sizemore and Dale Downey will be presiding. Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery in the Dixon Branch Road Community of Buzzard.
Visitation will be held on Saturday evening after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
