Mona Whitehead Henson

Mona Whitehead Henson, age 79, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2026 at her home. She was born on January 8, 1947 in Manchester, Ky to Andrew Decker Whitehead and Lula (Smith) Whitehead. She was a member of the Garrard Holiness Church.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband: Ray Henson; her children: Melissa Hazlewood and husband Grady, Melinda Kay Kelley and husband Brandon, and Daniel Ray Henson. These grandchildren: Kristy Pace, Traci Wagers, Tabatha Mullenix, Katie Wynn, Nathan Henson, Matthew Holt, Makayla Kelley, Luke Kelley, Lillie Kelley; her great grandchildren: Laiken, Paislee, Ryson, Gracelynn, Destini, Clark, Peyton, Gabriel, Avery, Bennett, Jaxon, Madi, Cooper, Kenzie, and Carter. Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Roy Whitehead and wife Phyllis, Betty Faye Hensley and husband Hezekiah, Maudie Smith, John Whitehead, Jr. and wife Debbie, a special sister: Anna Whitehead and a special friend: Veda Combs.

She preceded in death by her parents: Andrew and Lula Whitehead; her brother: Cecil Whitehead and her step-dad: John Whitehead.

Funeral services for Mona Whitehead Henson will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at 1:00 P. M. at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Roy Lane Woods will be officiating . Burial will follow in the Chop Bottom Cemetery #1 on Chop Bottom.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 from 6:00 P. M. until 9:00 P. M. at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
