Mellisa “Lisa” Sizemore, age 58 passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at the St. Joseph Hospital in London, KY. She was born on Saturday, January 7, 1967 in Sandusky, Ohio to David and Lola (Byrd) Lewis. She worked at St. Joseph Hospital. Lisa Sizemore, a cherished wife, devoted mother, and beloved friend, went home to be with the Lord. Lisa was born in Sandusky, Ohio, but made her life and home in Manchester, Kentucky, where she was surrounded by family, friends, and the mountains she loved. She adored her husband, Lonnie, and found her greatest joy in being the mother of her son, Lucas. Her love for them was unconditional, steady, and true—a reflection of her tender heart.
Lisa had a zest for life that was unmistakable. She loved music, especially the sound of rock and roll, and found joy in the simple moments—like playing cornhole with her dad, who has now welcomed her into Heaven. Her laughter, her smile, and her kind spirit will be remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
She leaves to mourn her passing her husband: Lonnie Sizemore; one son: Lucas Matt Sizemore; one sister: Pam Barrett; her fur baby: Oscar; these nieces and nephews: Tim Sizemore, Jason Sizemore, Benjamin Sizemore, Charles Ray and wife Robin Parker, Jonathan Hacker and wife Saundra, Kristin Schoolcraft and husband Ryan.
Lisa had many family members that loved her dearly: Minnie Lou and Jack Roberts, James and Betty Jean Parker, Chester Younts, Beatrice and Monte Roberts, Jobi and Kim Younts, James and Tracy Sizemore, Angela Ray and Shane McQueen, Papaw and Mamaw-R C and Maude Lewis, David Lewis, Don and Edith Lewis, Tommy and Linda Lewis, Bill and Deloris Lewis, Arnold and Pam Lewis, Annette and Bruce Bell, Chris and Sandra Townsend, Tonya and Mark Kocher, Leslie and Judy Reed, Wayne and Caroline Lewis, Ben and Judy Siemore, Herman and Margaret Sizemore, Ruby Parker, Harold and Kitty Sizemore, Ray Sizemore, Stanley and Mallie Sizemore, Dean and Sharon Sizemore, Rex and Charlotte Sizemore, Roy and Doris Sizemore, and Ryan Barrett.
Though our hearts ache in her absence, we find comfort in knowing she is resting in eternal peace, reunited with loved ones who have gone before her. Her faith, love, and joy will continue to live on through the memories she leaves behind and through the lives she touched.
Lisa’s life will be celebrated with services to be announced by her family. All who loved her are welcome to join in honoring her beautiful spirit.
