Martha Deannie Hensley

Martha Deannie Hensley, age 71 of Oneida departed this life on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at the Hazard ARH. She was born on Sunday, June 28, 1953 in Hyden, Kentucky to Woodrow and Bertha Jones Gibson. She was a member of the Morgan Branch Pentecostal Church and worked at the Laurel Creek Health Care Center for over 37 years.

She leaves to mourn her passing her beloved son: Michael Paul Hensley, her grandchildren: Shawna “Rayanna” Gibson, Destany Storm Hensley-Smith and husband Cayden, Madison Gibson, Matthew Hensley, Jasmine Warren, Briella Warren and Asia Warren and her great grandchildren: Olivia Lawson and Lincoln Gibson. Also surviving are her sister: Norma Fields, her brothers: Floyd “Dill” Burns and Roe Gibson and her special cousins: Paula, Daryl and Nick Morgan.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Woodrow and Bertha Gibson, her son: Shawn Gibson, her granddaughter: Sierra Brooke Hensley, her special niece she raised as her own: Therrica “TT” Scrivner, her brothers: Regenold “Duck” Burns and Larry Gibson and her sister: Izell Smiroldo.

Funeral Services for Martha Deannie Hensley will be conducted on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at 1 PM at the Potters House Holiness Church. Rev. George Roberts and Rev. Truman Murphy will be presiding. Burial will follow in the Sierra Brooke Hensley Cemetery in the Oneida Community.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Monday, April 7 after 6 PM at the Potters House Holiness Church.
