Larry Dale Frye was born June 22nd, 1943, in Spencer, Indiana. Frye was survived by his better-half Mary Lee Stets, children Larry R (Lesa R) Frye of East Bernstadt Ky, Shani Geno of Foxboro, Mass, Marc (Jodi) Stets of Enfield, Ct, Caryn (Jim) Gilliam of Tarpon Springs, Fl, and Lesley (Ben) Aryee of Suffield Ct. His 11 grandchildren who he deeply loved; Colt (Misty) Frye, Chad (Harley), Justin Geno, Addison Geno, Thomas Schmidt, Josh Schmidt, Jack Stets, Rachel Stets, Graeson Ayree, Paulyn Aryee, and Marielle Ayree. As well as his 6 great grandchildren; Malachi Frye, Mackenzie Frye, Sarah Frye, Raylen Frye, and Austin Frye. Larry loved his furkids Puppup and Sassy.
He is preceded in death by his parents Ova O & Desda Jane Frye, and 3 of his siblings, Gary, Archie, and Phyllis, his daughter Sabra Hood, as well as his furkids Babycakes, Sissy and Cupcup. He graduated high school in Spencer, Indiana, where he went on to become a diesel mechanic by trade for over forty years. After retiring from Ready Mix concrete, Larry went on to buy, selling, and trading almost everything. He was known for his bacon bits and porkrinds that he made and sold at Flea Land flea market in London, Ky.
Larry and his son Larry Ryan would buy, restore, and sell vehicles together. Larry also enjoyed sitting in his recliner drinking an ice-cold Pepsi and watching Westerns. He had a very strong love for family. He was also very fond of carrying on an argument with anyone he could find to argue with. Larry also enjoyed sharing a love for stylish glasses with his hairdresser Andrias Turrisi. They would love to see who had a better style. Larry also enjoyed spending time with special friends David Graveen, Don and Janet Punty.
Later in life, Larry was able to reconnect with his high school sweetheart, Mary Lee Stets. He was able to spend the last five years of his life with her. They traveled together and enjoyed making so many memories. To know Larry was to love Larry, even when he was a grouch-ass. He will forever be cherished and missed.
Larry said it was time to say goodbye on June 5, 2025, being 81 years old.
