Johnny Jewell

Johnny Jewell, age 72, passed away Friday, January 16, 2026 at his home. He was born Wednesday, April 15, 1953 to James Thomas and Sudie Ann (Smith ) Jewell. He was a veteran in the United States Army.

He leaves to mourn his passing his daughter: Tammy Lynn Jewell and his fiancée: Mary Roberts; his grandchildren: Michael and Haylee, Crystal Root; his great grandchildren: DJ Philpot and Kiearah Goolsby; and these brothers: Ralph Jewell and Shirley Caulder, James Jewell, Jr. and wife Veronica and these special nieces and nephews: Jackie Rader, Sudie Lewis, Ralph Jr. Jewell, Tonya Marable, Russell Jewell, Tina Henson, Jamie Reid, and Versie Collins; also his special friend: Welzie Wagers.

He is preceded in death by his parents: James Thomas and Sudie Jewell; and these brothers and sisters: Scott Smith, Thomas Jewell, Cash Jewell, Mandy Jewell, Myrtle Philpot, Peggy Burton, and Rickey Jewell and one grandson: Johnny Lynn Curry.

Funeral Services for Johnny Jewell will be conducted on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at 1:00 P. M. at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Johnny Burton and Scotty Jewell will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Pennington Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 after 6:00 P. M. until 9:00 P. M. at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
