John Denzil Jones

John Denzil Jones, age 81 passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025 at his home. He was born Monday, October 23, 1944 in Manchester, KY to Colonel and Cora (Stevens) Jones. He was of the Baptist faith.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife: Lorraine (Gregory) Jones and two children: Terry Jones and Marcella Smith and Coy Howard; his grandchildren: Tara Smith and husband John, Brittany Abner and husband Donnie, Kayla Gabbard and husband Jeremy, Tyler Jones, Kelsey Boyd and his great grandchildren: Weston Abner, Wyatt Abner, Briley Griffitts, Kinsley Gabbard, Karlie Gabbard, Chase Boyd and Elijah Boyd; and a special friend: Zachary Smith. Also surviving are these siblings: Bobby Jones and wife Wanda and Edna Hobbs.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Colonel and Cora Jones and these siblings: Bernice Asher, Charlie Jones, Raymond Jones, Hershell Jones and a special friend: Sydney Smith.

Funeral Services for John Denzil Jones will be conducted on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at 1:00 P. M. at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. George Grigsby and Bro. William Hugh Hudson will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Reid Cemetery in the Greenbriar Community.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Saturday after 12:00 P. M. until funeral time at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
