Joann (McQueen) Jackson

August 9, 1962 — November 29, 2019

Joann McQueen Jackson, age 57 of Burning Springs Community departed this life on Friday, November 29, 2019 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.  She was born on Thursday, August 9, 1962 in Manchester, Kentucky to the union of Henry and Rosie Reid McQueen.  She was a homemaker.

She leaves to mourn her passing her daughter: Emily Shepherd and her husband Justin, her son: Ronald Jackson and his wife Michelle, her grandchildren: Mylee Jo Shepherd and Landry Reed Jackson and her brothers and sisters: Stanley McQueen and his wife Debra, Wanda McQueen, Jimmy McQueen and Willis McQueen and his wife Joyce and her best friend: Rena Spurlock Smith.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Henry and Rosie McQueen, her brother: Henry Clay McQueen and her sister: Joyce Gay.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Rominger Funeral Home toward expenses.

A celebration of life for Joann McQueen Jackson will be conducted on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 1 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.  Reid Brock and William Hugh Hudson will be presiding.  She will be laid to rest in the McQueen Cemetery in the Huckleberry Community.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Tuesday evening after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Rominger Funeral Home.
