Jerry Wayne Bays

Jerry Wayne Bays, age 70, departed this life on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at his home. He was born on Saturday, April 11, 1953 in Pineville, Kentucky to Hardin Bays, Sr. and Mary Ellen (Wilson) Bays.  He was a heavy equipment operator.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife:  Zelma (Roark) Bays; his children:  Jerry Jerome Bays and wife Marlena and Randy Collins; these grandchildren:  Waylon Bays and wife Whitney, MaKayla Bays; these great grandchildren:  Chloe Bays, Riley Bays, Mason Bays and Lexi Bays.  Also surviving is one sister and one brother:  Linda Faye Harris and Kenny Fredrick.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Hardin, Sr. and Mary Ellen Bays; and these brothers and sisters:  Hardin Bays, Jr., Bill Bays, Joe Bays, Sharon Kaye Roark, and Bonnie Jackson.

Funeral Services for Jerry Wayne Bays will be conducted on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 1:00 P. M. at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Don Hubbard will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Bays-Roark Cemetery in the Ham Hollow Community.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Saturday after 12:00 P. M. at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
