James Byron Garrison

James Byron Garrison, age 83 departed this life on Sunday, March 24, 2024 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee.  He was born on Tuesday, December 31, 1940 to Oscar and Florence (Price) Garrison.  He was a carpenter and worked in construction.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.  He attended Greenbriar Presbyterian church and was a veteran of the United States Navy where he served in Vietnam.

 

He leaves to mourn his passing his children:  Kandace Murphy, Jay B. Garrison, and Andy Garrison; these grandchildren:  Katie Nicole Murphy, Elijah Garrison, Kalie Garrison, Haydee Sarmiento, and one great grandchild:  Mila Parris.  Also surviving are one sister and one brother:  Lena Wolfe of Florida and Benjamin Garrison of Kelso, Washington and his former wife: Wanda.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents: Oscar and Florence Garrison and these brothers and one sister:  Henry, Stephen, Jack, Nancy and Walter.

 

Memorial Services for James Byron Garrison will be conducted on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 2:00 P. M. at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.

 

The family will receive friends and loved ones after 1:00 P. M. on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.

 

Arrangements are entrusted to the Rominger Funeral Home.
