Jackie Smith

Jackie Smith, age 76 passed away on Friday, October 9, 2026 at his home. He was born on Sunday, August 27, 1950 in Hyden, Kentucky to Shirley and Allie (Smith) Smith. He was a heavy equipment operator and attended Mud Lick Church of the Brethren.

He leaves to mourn his passing his children: Jackie Lee Smith and wife Tina, Melinda Carol Abner, Felisha Hail and husband Jordan, and Nathaniel Smith and wife Carla; 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and the love of his life: Shirley Yeary. Also surviving is one brother: Bobby Smith and wife Debbie.

Jackie is preceded in death by his parents: Shirley and Allie Smith, his sisters: Ruth Perkins Howard, Bertie Lee Morgan and Ruby Nance and these brothers: Angelo, Carl, Shirley Jr., Calvin, Merrill, and Harold Dean.

Funeral Services for Jackie Smith will be conducted on Friday, October 16, 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jim Smith will be presiding.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Friday, October 16, 2026 after 12:00 P. M. at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
