Gerri Anderson

Gerri Alisha Anderson was born on Thursday, August 9, 1979 and departed this life on Friday, September 11, 2026 to join our Heavenly Father at 47 years of age.

She is survived by her soulmate: James R. “JR” Smith, her son: Austin Anderson (Josie), her bonus sons: Jacob Smith and Dylan Smith, her daughter: Macy Lynn Bowling and her beloved grandchildren: Caleb, Kaysen and Zaylee.

Gerri and JR shared a love that was deep, genuine and unwavering. He was not only her soulmate but her best friend. Their love was beautiful and the memories they created together will forever share a place in the family’s hearts.

She was and always will be a Daddy’s Girl. Her absence will be deeply felt by her parents: Jerry and Inez Anderson and her siblings: Tammy Hubbard (Darrin) and Jerome Anderson (Brandi). She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her many nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart. To them, she will forever by their beloved “Sissy.”

She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved special aunt: Teresa Anderson, affectionately known as “TT, her adored uncle: Hollie Turner and her cherished aunt: Connie Hughes, known fondly as “Twinky.”

A caretaker to all she knew and loved, she was best described as loyal, outgoing and generous, never allowing disagreements to diminish the love she had for others.

Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her and were blessed to know her fiery spirit. The love she gave, the lives she touched and memories she created will live forever.

Funeral Services for Gerri Alisha Anderson will be conducted on Friday, September 18, 2026 at 2 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Ryan Osbourne will be presiding. She will be laid to rest in the Macedonia Cemetery.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Thursday, September 17, 2026 from 6 PM until 9 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
