On the evening of Saturday, November 23, 2024, surrounded by her loving family, heaven gained a one-of-a-kind angel, Geneva Sizemore Melton. Geneva was 83 years old.
Geneva was born on July 1, 1941 in Manchester, KY to the late Benjamin and Marjorie Sizemore. She had a heart of gold and her presence will be deeply missed. Geneva will forever be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and cousin. Geneva was married to Tommy Melton for 67 years and had three children, three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter on the way.
Geneva is survived by husband Tommy, daughters Rebecca Leath (Columbia, TN) Lynn Crisenbery and son John Melton (South Lebanon, OH) three granddaughters, Amy (Rob) Crouch (Columbia, TN), Jennifer McIntosh (Kettering, OH), Megan Barnes, seven great grandchildren, Ryan, Molly, Natalie, Hannah, Emily, Sarah and Rachel. She also leaves behind sisters Adna Howard and Betty (Wayne) Ledford, in addition to many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Benjamin and Marjorie Sizemore, her brother Benny Sizemore and sister Mary Lou Phillips and son in law Rodney Leath.
The family will receive friends Friday, November 29, 2024, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in South Lebanon. Visitation will be from 11:00 A. M. – 12:00 P. M., funeral services will follow at 12:00 P. M. Interment will be at Deerfield Cemetery in South Lebanon, OH.
Geneva had a huge heart and requested in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Kings Food Pantry in South Lebanon, Ohio. Oswald Funeral Home, Lebanon, OH is in charge of the arrangements.
