Evelyn Carr

Evelyn Carr, age 71 departed this life on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at the Norton Healthcare in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on Saturday, January 29, 1955 in Manchester, Kentucky to Shade and Lettie (Minton) Goins. She worked for Daniel Boone Community Action Center.

She leaves to mourn her passing is her husband: Merril Carr, her daughters: Robin Carr Taylor (Joe), Kari Carr-Bonta (Jacob) and her son: Bradley Smith. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Story Bonta and Shelby Taylor as well as her brothers and sisters: Peggy Cody, Marie Wagers, Theo Goins, Lyle Goins, Kenny Goins, John Ed Goins, Ruth Ann Baker, Minnie Jackson, Leslie Webb and Vicki Smith.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Shade and Lettie Goins, her brothers: Charlie Goins, Dan Goins and Darrell Goins and her sisters: Nettie Smith, Geraldine Goins and Alma Burkhart.

A celebration of life for Evelyn Carr will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2026 from 1 PM until 3 PM at the Crawdad Building on Greenbriar Road in Manchester.
