Eugene Hacker

Eugene Hacker, age 88 departed this life on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at the Hospice of Lake Cumberland in Somerset, Kentucky.  He was born on Thursday, July 13, 1933 in Manchester, Kentucky to Dan and Dora Lunsford Hacker.  He was a coal miner and farmer.

He leaves to mourn his passing his beloved wife: Ruth McQueen Hacker, who he united in marriage with on April 29, 1952.  Also surviving are the following children: Edward Hacker, Ina Jean Woolridge, Glen David Hacker and Jennings Ray Hacker, his grandchildren: StacyAnn, HeatherLyn, Randy, Rebecca, Brady Ray, Danielle, Dakota, Patrick and Clayton as well as his great grandchildren: Jamie, Crystal, Kaleb, Grantley and Nicole and his brother: Ronnie Hacker.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Dan and Dora Hacker, his son: Gary Wayne Hacker and his sister: Anna Muncy and his brothers: Virgil Hacker, Conley Hacker, Jerry Hacker and Bobby Hacker.

Funeral Services for Eugene Hacker will be conducted on Friday, February 25, 2022 at 3 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. George Roberts and Rev. Richard Sams will be presiding.  Burial will follow in the Lunsford-Hacker Cemetery in the Chicken Branch Community.

The family will receive family and friends on Friday after 2 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
