Edith Ball Caudill

Edith (Ball) Caudill, age 88, departed this life on Sunday, September 14, 2025. She was born on Wednesday, February 10, 1937 in Sexton Creek, Kentucky to James Harvey and Edna (Byrd) Ball. She was a member of Ell’s Branch Baptist Church and Martha Clark #201 Eastern Star for 50 years. She was also a historian, and she loved genealogy.

She leaves to mourn her passing her grandchild: Sandra Garrett and Gerald Hoskins, Jr.; great grandsons: Marshall Bennington and Alex Bennington; these nieces: Erma Schultz, Julie Ball, Belinda Cupp, Sharon Barton and these nephews: Buster Patterson, Andrew Ball, Kimberly Jackson, William Burger and Gregory Burger.

She is preceded in death by her parents: James Harvey and Edna Ball; her husband: William “Bill” Caudill, loving companion Alfred Hicks; her daughter: Gloria Byrd Hoskins, her grandson: Jamie Bennington; great grandson: Tyler Finkenstedt and these brothers and sisters: Mae Patterson Smith, Rosa Ball Heuser, Arthur Ball, Herbert Ball and Emily Grubb, nieces: Amanda Lee, Mildred Hicks, nephews: Randy Ball, Carl Wayne Patterson and Glenn Grubb.

Funeral services for Edith (Ball) Caudill will be conducted Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Mitchell Ball will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Ball Cemetery in the Ball Road Community of Sexton Creek.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Saturday, September 20, 2025 after 12:00 P. M. at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
