Mr. Dan Goins, age 76 departed this life on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at his home. He was born on Thursday, January 9, 1947 in Manchester, Kentucky to the union of Shade and Lettie Mae Minton Goins. He worked in the coal tipple industry.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife: Lucy Louise Jones Goins, his children: Marrion “Sweet Pea” Goins and John, Betty Lou Goins and Steven, Dan Goins and Stacy and Rebecca Susan Goins. Also surviving are his grandchildren: Yvonna Donaldson and Jordan, Katie Churchill and John, Matthew Dylan Smith, Amber Hubbard and Samuel, Chloe Smith, Callie Smith, Camie Goins, Austin Goins, Reese Goins and Lillie Smith, his great grandchildren: Noah Shade Donaldson, Ella Churchill, Anna Churchill, Lilah Smith, Mattie Smith, Jaxton Hubbard and Gunner Hubbard and his brothers and sisters: John Ed Goins, Minnie Jackson and Paul, Ruth Ann Baker, Nettie Smith, Ellen Cody, Evelyn Carr and Merrill, Lyle Goins, Theo Goins, Vickie Smith and Rick, Leslie Webb and Jimmy, Alma Burkhart and Gary, Kenny Goins and Tricia and Marie Wagers and Ed.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Shade and Lettie Mae Goins, his brothers: Charlie Goins and Darrel Goins, his sister: Geraldine Goins, his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Marion and Mona Jones and his sister-in-law: Von Minton.
Funeral Services for Mr. Dan Goins will be conducted on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at 1 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. George Davidson and Rev. Tony Bowling will be presiding. Burial will follow in the Manchester Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Tuesday evening after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Rominger Funeral Home.
