Dallas Robinson, Jr.

Dallas Robinson Jr. of Burnings Springs, age 79, passed into the loving arms of Jesus, his Lord and Savior, on Friday, August 28, 2026. He was born in Oneida, Kentucky to Dallas Robinson Sr. and Juanita (McQueen). He was known to some as “Junior “or “Junebug” and “Putty Cat” to the trucking community. He founded and owned Robinson Trucking since 1971.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carolyn (Pennington) Robinson; his children, Dallas Robinson III & wife Eleanor (Jeb) and Leslie Phillips & husband James; his grandchildren, Austin Sizemore & wife Caitlin, Shelby Osborne & husband Kaleb, Allie Rose Phillips, Dallas Robinson IV and Chelsey, Maggie James Phillips; and his great- grandchildren, Jackson Taylor Sizemore, Charlie Baker Sizemore, and Autumn Olivia Sizemore.

In addition, by his siblings, Linda (Sissy) Coffey & Ray Jr. (deceased), Jeanetta Allen & David, Dwight Robinson & Ruth, Jerry Paul Robinson Sr., Larry Robinson & Linda, Nancy Powell & Dan, Carol Mathis & Darryl (deceased), Shannon Robinson & Rhonda, and siblings-in-law, Roger Darrell Pennington & Barbara, Donna Lee Gray & Steve, and Treysa Stephens & Willard. Also surviving is a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.

Dallas was preceded in death by his parents, Dallas Robinson Sr. and Juanita

(McQueen) and one sister, Sara Ethel Robinson.

He loved his family, friends, and Church. He attended church as much as possible and rarely missed a service or opportunity to travel to see another service. His hobbies included collecting rare coins and dollars, fishing (especially for Bluegill and crappie), and gardening (even if he acted like he hated it, and it would be his last year doing a garden every single year).

Funeral services for Dallas Robinson Jr. will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, September 1 st , 2026 with Bobby Stevens, Todd Hicks, and Stephan Dezarn officiating at Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Burial to follow at the Robinson Cemetery.

The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00pm on Monday, August 31 st ,2026, at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.

Pallbearers include Bentley Robinson, Darrel Wayne Mathis, Austin Sizemore,

Christopher Isaacs, Skylar Robinson, David Allen Jr., Daniel Powell, Dwight Robinson Jr., and Dennis Weaver.
