Charlotte Hooker Smith

Charlotte Hooker Smith, age 78, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at the Laurel Creek Health Center in Manchester, KY. She was born on Tuesday, April 1, 1947 in Manchester, Ky to Walton and Mayme (Henson) Hooker Harris. She was a secretary at Paces Creek Elementary School.

She leaves to mourn her passing her daughter: Cynthia Philpot; her grandchildren: Keisha Philpot and Jordan Philpot; her great-grandchildren: Amelia Philpot-Johnson, Emersyn Philpot-Johnson, Zayn Philpot and Karli Philpot; her sister: Betty Sue Root; and her brother: Jon Wallace (Hooker).

She is preceded in death by her parents: Walton and Mayme (Henson) Hooker Harris; her son: Eddie Smith; and these brothers and sisters: Stafford Hooker, Cecil Hooker, Carlo Hooker, Earl Hooker, Amoel Hooker, Alma Jean Robinson and Darlene Oliver.

Funeral Services for Charlotte Hooker Smith will be conducted on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 1:00 P. M. at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Tess Lipps will be presiding. Burial will follow in the Paces Creek Cemetery in the Paces Creek Community.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Saturday after 11:00 A.M. until funeral time at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
