Carolyn Sue Frye

Carolyn Sue Frye, 60, of Booneville, Kentucky, passed away on January 6, 2026, at her residence following a sudden illness. Born on June 25, 1965, in Oneida, Kentucky, Carolyn was the beloved daughter of the late Elmer Ray and Beulah Grubb Ray. She dedicated her career to serving as a county worker before retiring.

Carolyn is survived by her loving husband, Mr. Steven Frye, and her two daughters, Mrs. Brittany Lynn Sizemore Noble and Miss Alexander Frye, all residing in Booneville, Kentucky. She also leaves behind her cherished granddaughter, Miss Lucy Belle Hogan of Booneville, and her sister, Mrs. Hazel Smith of Clay County, Kentucky. Also several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer Ray and Beulah Grubb Ray, her sister Roxie Ray Hyden, and her brothers James, Willis, and Eugene Ray.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Searcy and Strong Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm at Searcy and Strong Funeral Home, officiated by Brother Terry Sandlin and Brother Tim Ball. Carolyn will be laid to rest at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Booneville, Kentucky.
