Callie Brown

Callie (Smith) Brown, age 90 passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2026. She was born on Saturday, July 4, 1936 in Manchester, Kentucky to Will and Sudie Smith. She was a retired cook for the Clay County Board of Education for the Horse Creek Elementary School.

She leaves to mourn her passing her children: Henry Smith and Debbie, Russell Smith and Kashandra, Larry Jackson and Linda Cupp, her grandchildren: Shawn Cupp, Yolanda Cupp, Shane Jackson and Cody Smith. Also surviving are her great grandchildren: Coleson Smith, Cambre Cupp, Caston Cupp, Colton Cupp and Madison Jackson and her great great grandson: Wrenley Jackson as well as her brothers: Bobby Smith and Baxter Smith.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Will and Sudie Smith, her grandson: Larry Jackson, Jr. and her brothers and sisters: Grant Smith, Betty Jackson and Gracie Carnes.

Graveside Services for Callie (Smith) Brown will be conducted on Friday, October 23, 2026 at 1 PM at the Spivey Cemetery in the Sexton Creek Community. Rev. Jeff Combs will be presiding.
