Bobby Thompson

Bobby Thompson, age 74 passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky. He was born Friday, June 8, 1951 at Oneida, Kentucky to Otto and Georgia (Payne) Thompson. He was a heavy equipment operator and a member of Church of God.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years: Wanda (Bowling) Thompson and these children: Robbie Thompson and wife Judy and Lisa Hooker; these grandchildren: Hallie Hooker and Lucas Thompson and Jarrod Hooker and wife Jennifer. Also surviving is his brother: Rick Thompson.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Otto and Georgia Thompson; his son-in-law: David Hooker, these siblings: Barbara Jean Thompson, Jeweldean Holland, Ray Thompson, Ronnie Thompson, Billy Thompson, and Clifford Thompson.

Funeral Services for Bobby Thompson will be conducted on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at 1:00 P. M. at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Roy Woods and Rev. Mike Gray will be presiding. Burial will follow in the Thompson Cemetery in the Botto Community.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Wednesday from 6:00 P. M. until 9:00 P. M. at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
