Alma Burkhart

Alma (Goins) Burkhart, age 61 passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at her home in Speedwell, Tennessee. She was born on Monday, June 22, 1964 in Manchester, Kentucky to Shade and Lettie (Minton) Goins. She was of the Baptist faith and worked as a Teacher’s Assistant at the Powell Valley Middle School in Speedwell, Tennessee.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband: Gary Burkhart, her son: Lucas Burkhart, her step-son: Anthony Burkhart and her step-daughter: Denna Burkhart as well as her sisters and brothers: Evelyn Carr, Peggy Cody, Marie Wagers, Theo Goins, Lyle Goins, Kenny Goins, John Ed Goins, Ruth Ann Baker, Minnie Jackson, Leslie Webb and Vicki Smith and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Shade and Lettie (Minton) Goins, her daughter: Tiffany Burkhart, her brothers: Charlie Goins, Dan Goins and Darrell Goins and her sisters: Nettie Smith and Geraldine Goins.

Funeral Services for Alma (Goins) Burkhart will be conducted on Friday, September 19, 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Gary Burkhart and Lucas Burkhart will be presiding. Burial will follow in the Jarvis-Goins Cemetery in the Horse Creek Community.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Friday after 2:30 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
