Ada (Byrd) Sester

Ada Sester of Sextons Creek, KY was born on Thursday, September 1, 1949 in Manchester, Kentucky to the union of Andy and Mae Barrett Byrd. She passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, November 18, 2019.
She is survived by her husband Carl Wayne Sester; her children Debbie (Doone) Bowling, Patsy Wilson, Doug (Mary) Sester, Frances (Jeff) Sweet, Tony (Kristy) Sester, and Mae (Chase) Thomas; her grandchildren Marcy Mivins, Michael Harris, Andrew Sester, Felicia Bowling, Dakota Grubb, Chazz Sester, Zach Sester, Kaleb Thomas, Mary Elizabeth Thomas, and Jackson Thomas; great grandchildren Liam Mivins and Aiden Mivins.
Ada is also survived by her sisters Glenna Ray, Emma Day and Rose Hornsby and her brother James Byrd Jr. as well as a host of extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Andy and Mae Byrd; her sisters Martha McDaniel, Mary Bray, Geneva Bray, Betty Byrd, Alice Hensley and Estella Ray; her brothers Bill Byrd, Bob Byrd, Corbet Byrd and Ralph Byrd.
Ada was a devoted member of the Ell’s Branch Church. She will be remembered most for her sweet, generous spirit and loving nature.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Rominger Funeral Home toward expenses.
A celebration of life for Ada Sester will be conducted on Friday, November 22, 2019 at 1 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Tim Ball and Bro. Chase Thomas will be presiding. She will be laid to rest in the Collins Cemetery in the Collins Fork Community.
The family will receive friends and loves ones on Friday after 11:30 AM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
